LGC Annual Conference
Affiliate groups play an important role in the LGC Annual Conference. Each spring, all LGC affiliate groups are invited to respond to a request for session proposals that might be of interest to their own members and/or other local officials.
All conference session proposals are reviewed by LGC’s conference planning committee to ensure appropriateness and to avoid duplication between similar session proposals, with an eye toward developing a well-balanced conference schedule. Affiliate groups are notified of the committee’s decision by mid-summer, at which time session requests are confirmed and placed in the conference schedule.
All LGC annual conference sessions, including affiliate group sessions, are open to all conference attendees. Visit the LGC Annual Conference section of this website for current details.
Submitting Session Proposals
Affiliate Group presidents received an April 13 e-mail from LGC Event Planner Erin Batstone outlining changes to the 2010 conference event schedule and the proposal submission process.
Two important schedule changes for 2010:
- The Wednesday morning time block has been reserved for an opening keynote speaker and, therefore, no sessions may be scheduled during this time.
- There will be no Wednesday Dinner Banquet. Instead, we will hold a reception from 5-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
If your group is having trouble finding a speaker for your topic or you just don’t know where to start, LGC's team of highly-qualified representatives can provide assistance.
Download the session proposal form in PDF format; be sure to save the PDF file to your computer before entering information. All session proposal forms should be submitted via e-mail or fax to Erin Batstone no later than Monday, June 14, 2010.
Exhibit Hall Display Space
LGC Affiliate Groups are invited to display association materials in the Exhibit Hall. This is a valuable opportunity to publicize group initiatives and achievements to a broad audience. Contact Ashley Monier at 603.224.7447, ext. 146 to learn more about this valuable opportunity.
