NHMA Membership
New Hampshire Municipal Association (NHMA) membership is open to the cities and towns of New Hampshire. Municipal membership entitles a community to participate in the development and adoption of municipal policy, and to receive the full range of services offered by NHMA.
In addition to NHMA advocacy services, municipal members enjoy access to:
- Legal advisory services, including access to the Legal Services hotline, which is staffed by attorneys who are available to respond to inquiries Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Upon request, attorneys are also available to provide topic-specific training.
- NHMA members receive complimentary copies of educational and informational publications, including New Hampshire Town and City magazine, as well as member discounts on other NHMA publications. Visit the Publications section to preview available resources.
Members also have access to a wide array of training opportunities, including workshops, NHMA's Annual Conference, and online training through The Academy and webinars. Visit the Training and Events section of the website for the full list of workshops and events.
For more information on services available to municipal members, please visit the Legal Services and Finance Services web pages.
Municipal membership dues are based upon municipal population and equalized valuation. In addition to municipal membership, NHMA offers associate and service levels of membership to eligible local government entities including schools, village districts, utility districts, counties, regional planning commissions or quasi-municipal public agencies serving municipalities, subject to the approval of and any terms as the NHMA Board of Directors may establish.
Membership inquiries should be directed to NHMA staff.
